Halfunction - Beta Arcade 2019

The most recent group project I have participated in, Halfunction is a sci-fi wave based survival game in which you accrue points for defeating different types of enemies. You must use the points to open up more parts of the freighter ship the game is based on in order to create more space for yourself before you get overwhelmed with the ramping difficulty, and also to find stations around the map in which the player can purchase improvements to their weapons. is

 

I took the position of Lead Designer on this project after complications, and managed to save it from following into a hole of unorganised development. Alongside organising people and workloads, I took the role of designing and implementing functioning weapon mechanics, pickups and perk systems as well lending a hand in almost every other design based area in the game, which inherently led to me being the build master as well.
